The Turnaround: Premier League Boss Claims Manager of the Week

Two defeats to start the season.

Then two wins in the space of five days, 12 goals scored and only two conceded.

That response earns Bishopton FC manager David Callaghan our Footy Focus Manager of the Week award.

THE RESPONSE

After losing their opening two matches, Bishopton needed a reaction.

It came away to Rhu, where Callaghan’s side found their attacking touch with an emphatic 7–2 victory.

A few days later came a very different test against Tollcross AFC.

This time Bishopton combined another strong attacking performance with a clean sheet, running out 5–0 winners.

Two games had changed the early picture considerably.

WHY CALLAGHAN GETS OUR VOTE

There were other strong contenders, including Harry McKay at Remo FC and Connor Moffat at Westhill United.

But this week’s award is about the response to a difficult start.
