Each week, clubs across the Colleges Championship are invited to nominate players they believe deserve consideration for our Squad of the Week.
The nominations and reasons below come from the clubs themselves.
They are not Footy Focus selections. From these nominations, we will select our final Championship Squad of the Week.
GOALKEEPERS
The Remo keeper more than played his part on Saturday and took home a well earned clean sheet.
DEFENDERS
Coatsy provided another stand out performance at the back. Composed on the ball and aggressive in the tackle all day. Got us off the mark with a good headed goal.
Mr reliable just gets the job done and is getting better as the weeks go by. Makes the manager and coaches jobs easier when he plays like this
MIDFIELDERS
Back amongst the goals and creating chances. Steg has all the tools to be a top player when he’s on this form and was also captain for the day and lead the team perfectly.
Two great goals on Saturday and some great skills , Adnan when confident is a joy to watch and a handful for anyone
Vice captain this year and is a big part of the team , 2 goals in 2 games and has stepped up so far this season to be one our most important players.
Logan Did not stop running and created a number of chances for his teammates.
Saturdays captain popped up with 2 goals from midfield. Dominated the game throughout and produced his best performance of the season so far.
Niall recovered last year from an acl operation. Missed the last 2 games with some discomfort but back was back to his best on sat.
Joe has had a solid start to the season and he controlled much of the game against Westerlands. Kept the game simple and broke up some promising attacks.
Kevin stepped into midfield changed the game and scored a wonder goal to seal our first 3 points of the season.
Sean scored a second half hatrick from the left mid scored the all important penalty to make it 3-2 .
STRIKERS
A hat trick of goals and assists yesterday he tormented the opposition the full game. He was unplayable and produced another man of the match display.
A hat trick of assists for the striker and also on the scoresheet. Really showed his quality on Saturday with some terrific link up play.
first start for Lewis after a brilliant cameo midweek and he repaid that faith with a brace and his all round play was exceptional and deserved.
Four goals for the inform striker, The Bankies will be hoping McCallum can keep up the scoring streak.
Another double from the inform striker helped seal a big victory for his club Remo FC
The Championship clubs have had their say. Now we have to somehow pick the final squad.
And there are some serious numbers among these nominations.
Four goals for Graeme McCallum. A second-half hat-trick for Sean Cullen. Taylor Lamont with a hat-trick of goals and assists, while Dylan McGonigle produced three assists and got himself on the scoresheet.
But it isn’t only about goals. There are clean sheets, defensive performances, midfielders controlling games and players making the difference when their teams needed them.
The nominations belong to the clubs. The final selections belong to us.
This might not be easy.
