Muirend AFC delivered what they described as their most complete performance of the season so it far, claiming an impressive 3–0 away victory over Pollok United in the Colleges Championship.
Despite dominating early chances and playing fluid attacking football, Muirend were held to a goalless deadlock at half-time by a resolute Pollok United defense. However, the floodgates opened after the break thanks to some inspired substitutions and clinical finishing.

Substitute Daniel Beattie continued his impressive scoring run by breaking the deadlock. Logan Buick beat his man to the byline and sent a low cross into Beattie, who showed composed footwork to turn the ball home for 1–0.
A superb switch of play from Danny McGeever then picked out Buick on the wing. Buick took a clean first touch, drove forward and finished to double Muirend’s advantage.
Substitute Charlie Slaven also made an impact from the bench, driving to the byline and teeing up David Hurrel, who finished to complete the 3–0 victory.
