Each week, clubs across the Colleges Conference are invited to nominate players they believe deserve consideration for our Squad of the Week.
The nominations and reasons below come from the clubs themselves.
They are not Footy Focus selections. From these nominations, we will select our final Colleges Squad of the Week.
GOALKEEPERS
Ross made a string of top saves which helped his team stay in the game untill the end.
DEFENDERS
Allan again on Saturday kept his high standards up by putting in a brilliant performance in CB again making important tackles keeping the opposition striker to a minimum
The captain talked and organised whilst defending brilliantly rounding of a great performance heading home his first goal of the season.
Darren Doyle was excellent on Saturday alongside his partner Drew Purdy. The defender used his experience and led by example.
Came back into right back on Saturday and played out his skin. Getting up and down the park making important Challenges
A leaders performance from the captain in the centre of the backline as usual. Also scored his first goal in 15 years!
MOTM performance from left back as Jack continues his great form.
MIDFIELDERS
Came on as a sub in second half and scored two good goals. Getting minutes back in his legs and will be a good addition to the team moving forward.
Luke was back in banknock colours and back on the scoresheet
Willie put in a masterful performance for his club against Rosebank United helping them to a big win.
Reece continued where he left off durning the week adding 2 more goals to his tally. Wee man was outstanding in the middle of the park driving forward with the ball and making the team tick
The midfielder put in an excellent performance at the heart of the DTI midfield.
A goal and 2 assists for Blair as he has hit new heights this season.
Declan caused all sorts of problems down the left side for the opposition & has been excellent for weeks now.
Kian changed the game when subbed on with a goal and an assist.
STRIKERS
Colton got three goals and he had another game where he never stopped running and working for the team.
3 goals and some great work for the team from the big striker closed down and held the ball up whilst scoring his 2nd of the day running past 4 players starting in his own half.
Against a team with a low block. Sean managed to work well with his strike partner and scored one himself as well as assist two and have shots saved and rebounded where pumas finished to get the win so contributions in all five goals.
The striker worked his socks off on Saturday and scored two fantastic goals and was unlucky not to get his Hat Trick.
Managed to be the pace in behind when the low block moved high up the pitch and managed to get two goals of his own. A versatile player who started at LB at the first whistle.
Declan was fantastic on Saturday scoring 4 great goals and leading his team to a big win.
The Conference clubs have made their nominations — and there are some big performances to sort through.
Four goals for Dec Smith. Hat-tricks for Colton McCunnie and Josh Maclaren. Two goals for Jack McCulloch, while Sean Murray was involved throughout Cumbernauld Pumas’ attacking performance.
There are plenty of cases away from the goals too, with defenders earning Man of the Match recognition, midfielders changing games and substitutes making an immediate impact.
As always, these are the clubs’ nominations and their reasons for putting the players forward.
