From Oban to River Nevis
Finbar has become an important part of the River Nevis squad, offering the side options both at right-back and further forward on the right wing.
His work rate and willingness to compete are a big part of his game, but there is an attacking side too.
That was certainly evident against Queen’s Park, when Finbar produced a memorable equaliser for River Nevis.
His contribution was also recognised by his teammates last season.
Finbar finished fourth in River Nevis’ Players’ Player of the Season voting and shared the club’s Player of the Season award with fellow Oban player Sandy Bavington.
Those awards perhaps tell the story better than any lengthy description can: a player valued by the people who watch and play alongside him every week.
And we’ve learned one other thing about Finbar.
If River Nevis have a big game coming up, there’s a fair chance his preparation started with a Chinese takeaway the night before. 😅
